I left the app running in the background for an entire fifty over game to see how much manual refreshing it would need. The phone sat on the table face down while I did other things. Every twenty minutes I turned the screen on and checked whether the prices and scores had moved forward on their own.
For the first hour the numbers stayed current. After that the score began to lag by one or two overs until I brought the app fully forward. A single tap brought everything up to date again. The pattern repeated through the rest of the match. The app did not die completely but it did not stay perfectly live either.
What the battery looked like at the end
The phone lost more charge than a normal evening of messaging but less than a full streaming session. I had turned the brightness down and closed every other application before the start. Those two steps kept the drain inside an acceptable range for a long game. I used matchexch9 login app only for that test and returned to the browser the following day.
A second trial with the screen locked
Two nights later I repeated the test with the screen locked the entire time. When I finally opened the app the score was behind by nearly four overs. One refresh corrected it. The delay was larger than when the screen had been turned on occasionally. The difference suggested that the system treats a locked screen more aggressively than a dimmed but unlocked one.
Short replies after I described the lag
I mentioned the background delay in the group. Two people wrote that they had seen the same behaviour. One said he now brings the app forward every six overs as a habit. Another said he simply accepts the lag and refreshes only when he wants to place something. The comments stayed limited to the practical effect.
One adjustment that remained after the tests
I no longer leave the app in the background for more than thirty minutes without a quick check. The short glance keeps the data closer to live and costs almost no extra battery. Longer periods of neglect produce a larger catch up when the screen finally comes on. The small routine removed the earlier surprise of seeing old numbers.
The app handled a full long match without crashing and without forcing a new login. It simply needed an occasional return to the foreground to stay accurate. Once that limit was clear the rest of the evening became predictable. The match itself stayed the focus and the technical behaviour settled into a known pattern.
